What is the difference between
ING and a regular bank?

ING Bank has the following advantages over regular banks:

  • ING Bank gives you a much more attractive rate of interest compared with other Canadian financial institutions. Today it is 2.7% per year. If you want to check the daily interest rate for other plans, see www.ingfas.ca
  • ING Bank doesn’t charge any service fees or transaction fees.
  • There is no limit in terms of deposit and balance: either minimum or maximum. Every day you earn interest on the amount that you have on your balance. And the rate doesn’t depend on that amount.
  • ING Bank allows you to keep your money in an ISA as long as you want and it is never locked in. 24 hours a day you can control your money and make transactions with it. You are allowed to withdraw any portion from the balance (even all of your funds), without penalties or fees.
  • ING Bank allows you to get USD cash through ING Bank machines.
  • ING Bank doesn’t have a big staff of employees and consequently doesn’t have to pay them salaries. The Bank also doesn’t have to pay for the transactions, connected with a regular checking account. All of this cuts down on the Bank’s business expenses, which means that more saving goes directly to the Bank’s clients.
